1984 is a straight forward book, a book where disagreement is everywhere, where a society is as flawless that it became dysfunctional. We read about how a telegraph records people and thought is a crime, and people are so repressed that they grow up being minimalist. Winston, the main character of the book talks and talks about how he is against the government system in Oceania, he gives details that make the reader even uncomfortable by knowing how this people lived. Winston also tells us how the place was liveable and nice but now it is a massive destruction place, where things are on the verge being completely in the state of disorder and mess.
My point here is, that after I got to read this book I have a different perspective on my society, my country, and my world. I see the society I live on as a really conflictive place, a place where issues happen daily, accidents, addictions, and people are okay living like this. We live in a society where you can turn on the TV and see how a kid got raped and murdered, or how the Amazonian forest is on fire. You can open Instagram and see how people post their lives and say things that other people later “meme” and make fun of. A self consuming society, that will end up destructing itself.
My opinion or point of view of this society will remain the same, I think we do live in a world of materialist people, where we treat objects like people and people like objects, where issues and people’s self-esteems revolve around materialistic things or social media, and their happiness depends on so little, insignificant details, that we lost the meaning of life, and true happiness, we don’t see the bigger picture.
However, after I read the book, I think it is important in a country or society to have freedom of thought, to say what we want to say, but with a sense of humanity, I think it is a mixture of both things that will make this world a better place. In other words, it is a perfect balance of expressing ourselves without being rude or offending anyone. Also there should be laws and rules, but letting people do or work in what they want and earn their money, not being repressed.
We should reflect on our actions, and really think that, after all, a perfect society isn’t based on rules and government, a truly perfect world begins with each and everyone of us within the inside.
Hello everyone, my name is Wisnton Smith I a low ranking citizen from Oceania, overall I am a pretty normal, regular looking guy, there’s nothing that special about me. I work in the Ministry of truth as a record clerk, I have no family except a wife but I no longer live with her, we don’t love each other but we can’t get divorced, so we live separated. I live next to Mrs. Parson, husband, and her two children.
The country where I live, Oceania is controlled by Big Brother and his party, and when I say controlled I really mean it, they have the country monitored with tele screens and pictures of him, everything you do or say goes through those annoying machines and eventually to Big Brother. It is depressing, repulsive, people don’t have freedom of opinion, neither of speech, you can’t oppose the enormous dictator that is Big Brother, people can’t do anything without his authorisation. And that makes life here be boring, no ups, no downs, things here happened as planned, and I am tired of it.
I am staring to write on my journal, even though it is considered a thoughtcrime, because I feel tired and desperate, I am opposing Big Brother, I want to do something about it, to corrupt the system. Life can’t be this depressed, people don’t find a better version of themselves, they do not aspire to do better and they just conform with what they have, which is the same as everybody else. This system is wrong, anti-productive, and overall it deteriorates people from their inside.
I am tired, I am done and I live in a place that needs to change, that’s the key word here: CHANGE. And I am going to make sure this country finally has change.
Language is a very important concept and always has been, it is the medium communication since the beginning of time, how we express ourselves.
Usually, people who are born on a certain place and in a certain society tend to talk and express themselves like the people around them. This skills (language and communication) develop over time and people adapt to the place you live. Of course, other factors adapt to the way we speak but mostly we all learn from what we hear and who we hear it from. Also, a place is identified by their language, people from that place speak the same and with the same accent, so general languages are labeled among a country.
Now, how does speaking any language can affect my identity or my culture? When you enter a country or hear people from a different community or society you can tell that people may speak the same language but different accent or vocabulary (some people even make up words), so that is when people identify a certain group. This can turn out being negative or positive, negative because then people would be stereotyped or mocked at. Positive because you can learn different cultures and be influenced by them.
So, in conclusion, when someone speaks a certain accent or language, they still communicate, and they still say whatever they have to say. But the thing here is, people identify other people through language and you can also link it to their culture. We learn from each other and we express ourselves the way we feel most comfortable. But we need to accept people’s diversities and do not discriminate.
My name is Esther. I am the daughter of Eduardo Cherem and Patricia Hamui, I have 3 younger sisters called Mery and Andrea and I am 16 years old. I was born in Mexico City and have lived here my entire life, I go to Atid School and I am 2 years away of graduating and going to college.
That’s kind of like my basic information and facts but, who am I really, well I am a teenager who likes a lot of things, like, for example I love dancing, dancing is something I do since I have use of memory, I danced at home daily and got into an academy where I got a scholarship most of the time I was there, then I switched academies and started competing in the US, I took 4 classes daily of different styles, even on weekends. Nowadays I do dance but not that much, it is important for me but I see it more like a hobby, I also do other types of exercises like pilates and indoor cycling, so in general I love going to work out. But also there are some days where I honestly prefer to stay home and watch a movie, I am a huge fan of classic movies and rom-coms, this is also kind of like my hobby. I love hanging out with my friends and going for ice cream. But my greatest passion in life ,might be traveling, I love going to new places, meeting new people, speaking new languages and seeing different cities or towns, eating is also a huge part of my life, I love eating in new restaurants and my favourite food is sushi or any kind of fish.
When I go to college I would like to study weather Nutrition or Marketing, the first one because I am interested in how the body works and how food and a good nutrition plan can cure diabetes or heart deseases, how it can change you mood, attitude and make a you better and healthier self. I am also considering marketing because I think it is a very interesting career where you can see behind the big industries and business, how they got to where they are and how they attract the public. It is a great career and I would like love to work and have a job in marketing of any business…
So basically this part of my life summarised, to end up I would like to add that I am happy with my life and grateful for everything, the good and the bad for making me who I am.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
